The only thing they might not be thrilled with is the nuts (which actually aren't that noticeable and could just as well be left out). Next week's cookies also use just brown sugar for the butterscotch flavor, but they are also crisp.

Thanks so much Annie - your cereal bars sound good too!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11194828903719000019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-1150247623015890342006-06-13T21:13:00.000-04:002006-06-13T21:13:00.000-04:00These cookies look awesome. They, too, spread quite a lot, but they are chewy, rather than crisp. If I get around to it, I might try a taste test!Nichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456007322213045872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-1150196322943466272006-06-13T06:58:00.000-04:002006-06-13T06:58:00.000-04:00Hi lpc - yes, I think you're right about the snick...Hi lpc - yes, I think you're right about the snickerdoodles! These are very easy to make. Since the "log" of dough is small around and the pecans are chopped fine, it is no problem to slice them very thin (provided, of course, you have a very sharp knife!)

Hi megz_mum - that is exciting! I know you're going to love the book. I wanted to let you know that my Maida Haiter book has arrived - very exciting!
The recipes look great, shame there are no photos, but I might cook along behind you then I will know how they should look. Can't wait to start...but I have to wait! I would love to learn other types. Would you call these butterscotch thins easy to make?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
