I know, focusing on one book has meant that I can't generally post recipes. But this book is winding down, so maybe I'll be branching out a little in the future. :)Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11194828903719000019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-90858371402291081172007-04-11T21:03:00.000-04:002007-04-11T21:03:00.000-04:00Yippee! I'm going to forward a link to your blog to my mother-in-law who was just looking for cookie recipes that did not have wheat flour or milk products. (Eggs are okay.) I'll bet she will be excited to see this! Thanks for posting your adapted version of the recipe!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-23240507184494230782007-04-10T20:56:00.000-04:002007-04-10T20:56:00.000-04:00Hi Mari - thanks! I can't count the number of times I've tried to avoid hauling out the food processor (which I hate to wash) and managed to dirty one and sometimes even two other tools that were inadequate to the task. Then I end up washing not only the food processor, but a mountain of other things as well!

Hi Chuck! These are so easy - the worst part is doing the dishes. Hey and they're gluten free - even Charles could eat them!

Hi Rowena! I love them too! I think the first place I had one was in San Gimignano - which I would have been the day we got stuck in Poggibonsi! I hope you did some comparison tasting while in Gavirate!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11194828903719000019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-23645413038374552232007-04-10T17:07:00.000-04:002007-04-10T17:07:00.000-04:00Ugly, good, beautiful...you know I looove these co...Ugly, good, beautiful...you know I looove these cookies! Ever since stumbling upon that little shop next to Siena -- Poggibonsi!

A couple weeks ago we went to Gavirate where they are famous for Brutti ma Buoni. There must've been a pastry shop on every other corner selling those great cookies!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-88921687364522735322007-04-10T10:39:00.000-04:002007-04-10T10:39:00.000-04:00Ohmigosh Cathy, just looking at the pictures and r...Ohmigosh Cathy, just looking at the pictures and reading the post make me crazy hungry "crunchy on the outside moist and chewy on the inside"...who cares what they look like!?!?!?!chucklesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01982862167001655013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157527.post-64276155157663653622007-04-09T11:20:00.000-04:002007-04-09T11:20:00.000-04:00Cathy, Those look great!
